On Friday, November 30, 2007, IBRADEMP launched its activities in Los Angeles with the seminar entitled, "Renewable Fuels and Green Technology: Bilateral Information Exchange Between California and Brazil to Promote Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction."
Special thanks to the audience and the speakers, Craig Moyer, Sean Hecht, Patrick Del Duca and Fred Bennett for raising the debate to such a high level. Our appreciation also goes to the Environmental Law Institute, UCLA School of Law, Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, LLP and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver and Hedges LLP for their support.
We would be remiss if we did not thank Daniel Kalansky, who traveled all the way from Brazil to participate in the seminar. Thanks also go to Affonso Santos (Deputy-Consul of Brazil in Los Angeles) and Nelson Pedrozo (President and CEO, Brazil-California Business Council) for their presence and invaluable assistance with promoting the event.
